A night with Velt: what happens on every route

Every Velt route follows the same steps, and every step is recorded in the Velt portal so property teams can see the night without walking the property.

  1. The route starts. The team starts tonight’s route in the Velt portal, and residents can get a pickup-started alert on their phones.
  2. Building by building. Doors are collected using double liners to prevent or reduce spills, and any spill is cleaned up during service.
  3. Proof of clean. Each breezeway or landing is photographed. When a property has a map pin, the photo’s location is checked.
  4. Last call. Residents can get a last call to bring their trash out before the route ends.
  5. Pickup complete. When the route finishes, residents have 10 minutes to report a missed bag.
  6. Recovery. A missed door is recovered the same night. If that isn’t possible, Velt arranges an additional pickup.
  7. Sweep and report. Every route ends with a sweep of the compactor area and lot, and the month’s results go into a report organized by building.

When something isn’t set out the way a community asks, residents get a friendly courtesy notice with a photo first. Velt doesn’t issue fines; any fine is the property’s decision.
